Alex Sawatzky is an interdisciplinary researcher and artist based in Guelph, Ontario. She works remotely as Special Projects Manager and adjunct professor at the School of Arctic and Subarctic Studies, Labrador Campus of Memorial University.

Alex also operates her own freelance art and design practice, where she works at the intersection of art, design, and community-driven research to tell visual stories that support evidence-based decision-making, and inspire critical, creative thinking.

Role with Garden2Plate

Alex works in collaboration with the Research and Program Teams to coordinate, design, and share accessible, engaging, and useful resources that help to put Garden2Plate’s gardening, nutrition, and food literacy programming into practice.

Ian Borg is the Director and Team Lead of the Academic Media Group at Mount Royal University.

Role with Garden2Plate

Ian works with the Academic Media Group to develop video tutorials that provide tips, tricks, and additional context in support of the development and delivery of Garden2Plate’s gardening, nutrition, and food literacy programming.
